Checking Your Sources

Here are a few tips for you to check whether information is hoax or not:
  • Read the information twice or more
  • Check to see who created it?
  • When was it created?
  • Why was it created?
  • Are there any hidden message?
  • What are their aims? Are they using omission (leaving important facts out)?
  • Is the information biased?

Flotilla Homework

  • Have you had a look on various sources to find out what Marc (Marc3pax) does?
                 - After watching the video, I did some research but I don't really know who he is, so I decided to read the comments below, and one of it says that Marc is an Israeli actor and his name is Omer Gershon. Other comments are saying that the information in the video is not true, its fake and the video is a racist propaganda.

  • How does this video relate to the flotilla movement?
                - This video relate to the flotilla movement because Marc said that the flotilla movement is bad because it linked to Hamas.

  • Is the video objective (based on facts; unbiased)?
               - No, its very biased because most of the information are not true, and he didn't provide any reliable sources. Also, he only talk about one side of the conflict, so the information is very biased.

  • Is there evidence supporting Marc3pax's findings?
             - There were some evidences for what he said, such as videos and images, but most of his information are unsupported or biased.

Wordle

After doing this word cloud, I realized that my project review doesn't have enough keywords, I only included basic words like brochure and model. I haven't use much of the modelling vocabulary, such as inputs, outputs, drop-down list,... Maybe I could have include the word "user-friendly" more, because it is the main topic of this project. So, next time, I will use more keywords that are related to the topic that we're learning.
